Saturday, 20 August 1791 last on Earley Common (Reading Mercury) James Chapman indicted for breaking into the dwelling house of John Applebee in the parish of Brimpton on 29th June 1791; and stealing therefrom a wooden box (valued at 1d), a gold guinea, a gold half guinea, 2 silver crown pieces and 17/- in money numbered - the goods and money of John Applebee; and a copper halfpenny - the money of Sarah Applebee.
